the story
The presentation that wouldn't obey.
Joel Ferreira · accountant · Fortaleza, Brazil
the night before
Every presentation that matters is born at the last minute.
I'm an accountant. My whole career is turning numbers into decisions — for boards, for clients, for leadership. And every week, the same scene: the data ready, the analysis ready, and hours lost fighting the slide. Alignment, fonts, a chart that falls apart in the recipient's PowerPoint.
the refusal
The problem wasn't me. It was a tool that wouldn't obey.
The AI tools I tried generated pretty screens that didn't survive the real world: exports broke, the brand never made it in, and presenting still meant hauling a laptop and hoping. So I decided to build the tool I needed myself — with the doctrine of people who present numbers: one slide, one idea; the number is the hero; motion serves the narrative.
the build
Fortaleza, late nights, and three stubborn decisions.
Pínax was born in Fortaleza, Brazil, on three decisions I don't negotiate: the PPTX exports FAITHFULLY (editable text and charts, not a flattened image); the AI is YOURS (you bring your key or your agent — we never resell tokens); and presenting means COMMANDING (link, QR, the remote on your phone). Everything else — the themes, the motion engine, the 3D map — exists to serve those three.
now
The first 1000 write the rest with me.
The platform is whole: generation, editor, stage, export, proposal signing. What comes next is polish — and whoever joins as a Founder points the way on the public board. That's how I want to build: with the people who actually use it.
